Come to Spencer Books on Nov. 5th to hear Alex Spring.
His new book, Lower City, is a debut thriller set in Hamilton during the Jays’ epic World Series run last year. It’s been described, aptly, as blending “the gritty realism of S.A. Cosby with the page-turning pulse of Louise Penny”. (And yes, Queen Louise Penny is a fan!)
In a wide-ranging conversation, Alex will discuss the unique crafting of this book, destined to be a mystery series featuring recurring protagonist Danny Clarke, a young steelworker and unsuspecting hero. Alex will also be talking about the incredible production of the full-cast recording of the Lower City audiobook, starring Harrison Browne of Heated Rivalry fame, television development, and his own storied career in publishing and editing before he became a crime author.
The event is free but registration is required. Space is limited. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Link to register:
