The book series classes at the Branch Ranch will offer a more in depth look at choosing materials for projects, learning different weaving techniques and in the end you will go home with a book containing information about weaving techniques.
This class is based on the projects in Jo Hammonds book, Willow Basketry and Sculpture. Participants will make 2 projects, the planter will be made during class and participants will learn a 3 or 4 rod wale, slewing technique or a false rand. At the end of the class each participant will go home with a package of soaked willow to make a flower from Jo Hammonds Willow Basketry and Sculpture book which is included in the cost of the class. The planter could be used over a potted plant or directly in your garden, add tall stakes and make it a sweet pea planter for your deck! Willow colours may vary.
Included in the class are: all willow for the planter and the flower, Jo Hammons book ‘ Willow Basketry and Sculpture.
