This exhibition considers varying perspectives on the night sky—the formation of planetary bodies, the dust that falls to earth from the stars, and an ever-changing night sky that, in many places, includes numerous sources of illumination.

Working with water, graphite, and powdered metals, the drawings are a record or trace of a sort of becoming—a state that is in the process of being formed and that is mapped over time.

Originally from Northern Ontario, Jessica Hein studied visual art at NSCAD University in Halifax, then received her Master of Visual Studies at the University of Toronto. Jessica now teaches studio classes in the department of Arts, Culture and Media at the University of Toronto Scarborough.  This exhibit is curated by Dorothy Caldwell.

Free admission.
