Open to all Warkworth residents, the Community Kitchen brings together 8 interested people to prepare a three course meal in the St. Paul’s kitchen in conjunction with the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit . This event is free of charge and is for people interested in learning new recipes, sharing cooking tips, and having a great social time while preparing a healthy and nutritious meal for themselves and their families. It takes place in the kitchen of St Paul’s United Church.
Participation in the Community Kitchen is open to any resident in the Greater Warkworth Area. However, space is limited in the kitchen to 8 participants. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis through the Abundance website (https://warkworthabundance.ca/events/) – scroll down to the ‘Click here to register’ tab under the Community Kitchen description.
Grocery supplies are provided by the Abundance Project, while recipes and cooking direction is provided by Pat Stuckless from the Health Unit.
